SEO-Search Engine Optimization is the very important technique to bring more traffic to your website. As the name suggests it is the optimization of your content for search engine. To be honest there is no technique involved in this from my point of view. The main theme of SEO is that your pages should be search engine friendly. You will be thinking is there any thing that is friendly to search engine. Well search engines want to give its customers the required content, for that if we provide the content which will be helpful to categorize, easy to be seen by the search engine, we call that as Search Engine Optimization. If you follow the rules and programming skills without skipping anything I can say that as Search Engine Optimized. Ok we will see some of the factors which we call as SEO techniques.

We can divide the SEO into two categories Onpage SEO and Offpage SEO. Here is the small list of SEO techniques to be followed:

Onpage SEO:
1. Quality and Unique content is considered important.
2. Using header tags in headings.
3. Starting the content with keyword.
4. Avoiding unnecessary Images.
5. If images are used it should be optimized, like adding tags which will be useful for search engines to get the data about images.
6. Using of javascript must be avoided to certain limit.
7. All the HTML tags should be have a closing tag properly.

Offpage SEO:
1. Submitting your website/blog’s url to major and minor search engines.
2. Creating RSS or other feeds for your content.
3. Promoting your website with social bookmarking sites like Digg, facebook, orkut, twitter, etc.,
4. Creating related online communities and joining in such communities and participate in those communities.
5. Submitting your links in free pressreleases about your site.
