Onpage SEO

Onpage is the first step in SEO that a publisher has to start with for the promotion of his/her website/blog. Since we are targeting to earn from Adsense, we need our content to go on top of the SERP-Search Engine Result Page and this can be achieved only by applying SEO techniques.

What are the things one should do in Onpage SEO; here are some of my suggestions:
Onpage SEO Techniques:

Try to keep the content in the top than the images, javascript etc., as I have already said keep the keywords in the beginning, scripts and images are given lower priority than content, So keep the content at top as much as possible.

Keep the font color and background color distinct from each other. Keep an eye on this you might do this intentionally or unintentionally if you are not aware of the templates and basic HTML. Keeping the font and background color similar or not distinct is considered as a Black hat SEO. And it will lead to a permanent ban of your site from search engines to index.
Try to avoid hyperlinks with images, try using simple HTML hyperlinks, since it helps the readability for search engines.

Give links to best sites which are well known to people. This linking with the higher page ranked sites gives good results. It will be helpful for the search engine to categorize. If your site is categorized correctly, you get more chances for higher page ranks in the category.

Use the tags:
Title tag – Give your site a Title which will be suitable to your content with 6-8 words. The title is displayed even if the content is still loading. So it’s the first impression you make to the visitor, so make wisely.
Alt tag – Use alt tag for all the images and links, so that search engine can read what the image or link is about.
Meta tag keyword – Select the keywords from your content and use it wisely here, in case of blog this is the label.
Meta tag description – write a short note about the website or page, because this meta tag content is going to be displayed in the SERP.
Use Headers – Always use header tags to differentiate the content, so that readers as well as search engines will easily get attention.
